Egypt
Egyptian resorts are always welcoming to visitors. Lively Hurghada and vibrant Sharm El Sheikh remain highly attractive holiday destinations with few real alternatives. Where else can you find such a unique combination of an excellent climate, warm sea, well-developed tourist infrastructure, and beachfront hotels offering outstanding value for money? In addition, the underwater landscapes of the Red Sea are among the most beautiful in the world. Diving among colorful fish provides unforgettable experiences.
Beach holidays in Egypt are perfectly combined with rich sightseeing opportunities. From the African coast of the Red Sea, it is easy to reach the temples of Luxor. The Sinai Peninsula is a convenient starting point for climbing Mount Moses and for excursions to Petra in Jordan and biblical sites of the Holy Land. Holidays on the Mediterranean coast can be combined with visits to Alexandria, the pyramids, and Cairo.
Sharm El Sheikh
The most famous resort of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh, is considered one of the most European-style resorts in Egypt. This coastline, indented with numerous bays, is located in the southern part of the peninsula. A distinctive feature is its higher price level compared to Hurghada.
Naama Bay, Sharm El Maya, Ras Umm Sid, Gardens Bay, Pasha Bay, Sharks Bay, Ras Nasrani, and Nabq form one of the best resort areas in Egypt. Each bay has its own characteristics, but many are protected natural areas, which means swimming often requires special footwear. Entry into the sea is frequently via pontoons, and the water can be shallow. The calmest bays are Sharm El Maya and Naama Bay, while Nabq is known for its winds and waves. Sandy, convenient sea entry is available in Sharm El Maya and Naama Bay.
Hurghada
Hurghada is the queen of Egypt’s eastern coast. It is the oldest and one of the most famous resorts, attracting a huge number of tourists every year. This popularity is largely due to the warm sea and good-quality beaches, most of which are sandy. Gentle entry into the water, fine and even sand, and the absence of coral seabeds are typical features of almost all beaches, except in areas near newer hotels. Hurghada is an excellent choice for families with children and older travelers. The most comfortable season for holidays here is autumn.
